It's the Weekend

Yippee it's the weekend, another week has flown by and it's getting darker and darker earlier and earlier! roll on the summer :).
We have my mum & dad, sister and her family coming over today for sausages, chilli and jacket potatoes before we head off to the firework display, I absolutely love fireworks, it's always me standing there ooohing and aarring :).

OH is doing a XC run today, I've a funny feeling he is going to get a little muddy :)

This is a different card from me today, I haven't used my usual Magnolias, instead I have used one of the Christmas Bingo Cards from the Handmade Holiday - Simple Stories Collection - I just love these, they came on a 12 x 12 sheet - 12 in total all with different headings on.

I have used Adirondack Paint Dabber in Snow Cap to paint all around the edges and flowers, I have also painted the gold metal butterfly.

Roses, Cherry Blossom, Cones, Rose Buds, Snowflake Charm, Filligree Butterfly, Natural Twine/Jute, Pearl Border, Red Pom Pom Trim - Creative Treasures

Don't forget to pop on over to a Card a Day Blog or the aCaD FB Page to share your projects.

Have a lovely weekend

This is a quick post from me today, as I'm in a bit of a rush, nothing new there then!!

Here is today's little creation - Tilda with Snow Heart.  I think I now have the grand amount of 5 Christmas cards made!! I think I better get a wiggle on, we only have 46 days until Christmas - yikes

Don't forget to join in with aCaD blogging on FB, it's a fun place to visit and it's really lovely to see all of your creations.

Glassine Bag

Its a bit dreary here today, looks like its here to stay for a while.  I hate the wet it does nothing for my hair :)

I've been busy all afternoon, I've sat and stamped, inked and strung 80 tags to go out in the post!!  I've also managed to alter a glassine bag, I have kept it quite simple, although I have still managed to add a few flowers :).  These bags are fab for adding homemade biscuits or yummy treats, I will be adding the bags to the shop later.

I've got a zumba class a bit later on, my legs have stiffened up as the days gone on from doing a hill session with my running club last night, looks like I might be only moving my top half at zumba lol.

Roses, Glassine bags, Rosebuds, Self Adhesive Pearls, Spotty Ribbon - Creative Treasures

Hope the weathers better where you are.

Another card ....

It's another lovely day here, let's hope it stays like this for the weekend.
I have managed to finish off the card that i started the other day this is for the Card a Day Blogging FB Page.  When I coloured this little cutie, I didn't have visions of it ending up like this, I was actually after a very soft vintagey card and ended up with quite a busy card! never mind will try again next time.

White Dotty Organza Ribbon, Sparkly Curly White Ribbon, Roses, Cherry Blossom, Cones, Daisy Lace, Doily - Creative Treasures

Marvelous Mangolias is a new challenge blog which started up yesterday and I am very pleased to say that I have sponsored them this week for their very first challenge, if you love Magnolias hop on over to enter the challenge, you could be in with a chance of winning the goodies below.

Another thing to put on my to do list is to learn how to take photographs!! This time of year is a nightmare to try and get a decent photo or is that just me :)

I'm off now to make the dinner for this evening, I made Jamie Olivers Brisket Chilli the other week and it was delicious, it needs about 4 1/2 hours in the oven, Mmmm well worth it :)

Pulled brisket chilli

Enjoy the rest of your Friday.

Tilda with Present

I love days like this, cold, crisp and sunny, the colourful autumn leaves are almost sparkling in the sunshine.  Sofie has some A level artwork to do this half term, she has to take lots of pictures of leaves, trees, bark, berries etc this time of year is just perfect for gorgeous autumnal pictures.

I can't believe I have made yet another card, 2 days in a row :)
I love the Card a Day Blogging over on FB.

This is another new Christmas Tilda stamp that I couldn't resist.

I very rarely tie bows on cards as i just can't seem to perfect it, I look at other peoples bows and they seem to be perfect, if anybody has any tips please let me know :)

Papers are the gorgeous Vintage Christmas by Whimsy Stamps.
Sentiment Stamp - Lili of the Valley
Gingham Ribbon, Roses, Sheer Bloom, Gypsophila, Snowflake Charm, Curly Sparkly Ribbon - Creative Treasures

How long.....

I can't believe it has been that long since I last posted, sometimes life just gets in the way. I've only made a couple of requested cards since the summer, but I'm back on track now :)

I've added some gorgeous new stock to the shop and I've actually made a couple of christmas cards, I absolutely love the festive season and every year I find it stressful making all the Christmas cards, so I'm hoping to make at least 3-4 Christmas cards every week.  Of course it would have been rude of me not to purchase a few of the new Magnolia Christmas stamps :)

We also have half term this week - yippee, we have already visited the orthodontist first thing this morning for Shay, although he did moan about having to get up the same time as a school day, I haven't told him yet that he has a hair cut at 9.00am tomorrow lol.

Here is the card that I have made, gloomy days are not good for taking photos.

I know I say this all the time but I love this stamp, the reindeer is so cute.

Papers - Krafty Christmas pad and North Pole Stamp are the from Lili of the Valley
Cherry Blossom, Roses, Pine Cones, Berries, Pom Pom Trim, Pearl Heart, Pearls, Curly Sparkle Ribbon - Creative Treasures
Lampost - Doo-Hickey Die, Felt Flower - handmade.

I have made a long list of jobs to get through this week, so I'm off to start them! maybe I will just have a coffee first lol.

Have a fab day.

Here are the goodies that I have used for the project, you can find them all in one place here

1.  Although the hearts are whiteboard I painted mine with Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber - Snow Cap, just to give it a little shabby chic / vintage feel.
2.  Ink the edges of the heart, I used Distress Inks - Iced Spruce, it just gives the heart a bit of depth.

3.  Choose a patterned paper of your choice and measure 1/2 way down the heart.  Cut to the width required then stick across the middle of the heart.

4.  Glue Roses, Rosebuds and Cherry Blossom to the left hand side, paint the gold filigree butterflies white to keep with the shabby chic/vintage style.

5.  Thread a Pearl Caberchon through the lace and adhere to the back of the heart.

 6.  Finish by adding self adhesive pearls to the both sides of the heart and add lace to the top of the heart so that the heart can hang.

I can’t wait to see your decorative hearts.

The sun is shining

What a lovely start to the weekend, I'm not to sure how long it is going to last, let's hope it's a while.
OH ran the marathon in 3hrs 38mins which was a fantastic time, to say it was wet and windy was an understatement!!
I have been running 3 times this week, I managed a 5k without stopping again and knocked 2 mins of my previous time so really happy about that.

I had a couple of new tilda's delivered this week and just had to ink this one up, I absolutely love her I think she has to be one of my all time favourites.

This isn't a colour combo I would normally use but I really like it, its a bit of a mix of old papers and Papermania Portobella Road. I have these Pearl Flourishes but cut the swirl away from the flower to give her a bit of sparkle I also glittered her wings.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Magnolia - Pearls & Swirls
Magnolia-licious - Summer - Blue, Orange & Yellow
Papertake - Anything Goes
Creatalicious - Butterflies & Flowers
Paper Sundaes - Ribbon & Pearls

Have a lovely weekend

And it is still raining!! I think it is going to carry on all weekend, I'm bored of it now, let's just have some sunshine :)

OH is running the Milton Keynes Marathon tomorrow, let's hope the wind will be blowing in the right direction, I think we are going to need a big umbrella while watching!

For this card I have used another Tilda from the Princess collection, this is the first time I have inked her up, when I coloured her in, the papers that I had in mind didn't actually go, I should of checked before I started colouring, then I remembered that I had bought a few of the Magnolia 6 x 6 papers so I have used those instead.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Just Magnolia - Buttons & Bows
Fussy & Fancy - Punches & Dies

Enjoy the weekend
